Hiroki is a Canadian Citizen and has specialized in distinguished grand and upright pianos for a total of seventeen years, eleven of which have been in the Vancouver and surrounding areas.

He was born in Tottori, Japan and began training in the world famous Chubu Technical Academy of Musical Instruments, studying tuning, regulation and classical music studies. Following graduation, He was employed in a prominent restoration and piano dealership in Mito, Japan, working with the Master Technician Mr. Arai for three and a half years.

This period provided the foundation for Hiroki's expertise.

He later relocated to Vancouver where he perfected his techniques as a re-builder, immigrating on the strength of his extraordinary ability as a piano technician and acquiring a total of almost eight years experience, in this exacting and precise field.

As senior tuner/technician for six years at Vancouver's premier piano dealer, and now independent, he is constantly in demand as one of the most experienced and highly competent specialist in Lower Mainland area.

Hiroki passed the Japan Piano Technicians Association tuning and technical examination, becoming a registered technician in 2009. He also attended a seminar to the latest piano refinement techniques at the Kawai factory in Hamamatsu. Unlike many technicians, Hiroki is familiar with most of the classical and romantic repertoire, and plays to concert level when there is time.

He is able to interpret and realize the clients requirements punctually and efficiently, whether a distinguished international artist or adult beginner, which comes as naturally as does the everyday quest for perfection.
